A freight futures contract is a financially settled contract for difference between two parties, which sets  an agreed future price for carrying commodities at sea against a commonly agreed price.

Imarex operates a hybrid exchange concept combining direct electronic execution and voice brokerage of cleared and OTC freight contracts.

Trading at Imarex requires either a direct membership of the exchange or an account with one our clearing members. Imarex offers 14 tanker contracts, 8 for dirty tanker FFAs and 6 in the clean tanker FFA market.
